A big thank you to all those who attended the Go Kart race event. Hopefully everyone had a great time, we know we all certainly did. Hopefully the photos will provide some reminder of the fun, though I wholeheartedly apologise for Bill's camera skills (or lack thereof).

Congratulations to Anthony, Georgi and Simon on completing their trip around Britain in aid of Dementia Care and Parkinsons. They completed their journey in 27 days, looking tired but elated upon their return. 999 Challenge

This year being the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy a group of Manchester Firemen wanted to commemorate the event for their American colleagues - by arranging a coastal challenge that will see them travel in a power boat around the UK!
The group came up with a challenge utilising the 999 theme. This special event started on September 10 and the group are attempting to sail around the UK coast line in a RIB.......in 9 Days 9 Hours and 9 Minutes! Can it be done?!
The route started from Southampton Dry Stack on September 10, and traveling to:
Padstow 10.9.11
Pwllheli 11.9.11
Whitehaven 12.9.11
Malliag 13.9.11
Scrabster 14.9.11
St Andrews 15.9.11
Bridlington 16.9.11
Ramsgate 17.9.11 and then finishing back at
Southampton on the 18.9.11
St.Mary’s Blue Watch came with their appliances to send them off, we wish them well!
Take 2 Ribs

In aid of Dementia Care - Two ribs are undertaking a month long circumnaviation of the UK commencing in September 2011, in aid of Dementia care, Parkinsons UK and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
